Chivalry and Deception

It's like Mucha punched me in the face and then started making out with an entire battalion of handsome mercenaries while I lay on the ground with a bloody nose and watched and became too distracted to remember how to color properly.

...No wait, it's not like that at all.





Clockwise from the blonde!: The Wee Condotierre, Who the Hell is Elizabeta, Bambi Eyes, The Alleged Catamite, Dead(?) Princess, The Precious Tool, Oldwald, and The Crazy One. And in the background are monkshood flowers! Which mean chivalry, and warn of deception as well! So they are very appropriate. But they do not really look like flowers and are therefore damn hard to draw, FFFF.



I'm pretty happy with this! I tried a bunch of new things - coloring all the lineart, paying a little more attention to lighting, using textures (er, one texture. One barely-visible texture. Mad props if you can actually see it), etc. But since this is fanart of the glorious comic KNIGHTS ERRANT, you can see way better artz (and find out the characters' actual names and witness their beautiful adventures) HERE .

I-I have, like, the biggest artcrush on the author. Those inks! And the colors, especially the colors! Th-They're so amazing.... And the noses and expressions and HAIR! And dialogue! And period costumes and sense of lighting, I just -! And -! And -! Okay, just go read it, it's amazing.
