Boy is it hard to draw a stylized person who looks sorta like an actual actor-person even if you squint and are already inclined to believe it is that person.

Wh-Why is it so hard.

This is the cutest. I love the textures you used for the clothes. And then do you draw the faces on top of textures or?? I'm just really curious. Love it.

Aw, thank you! I'm happy you like it!

I cut out the shape of the character's body from white Bristol board, which makes a fairly sturdy backing. In areas where skin will show, I color in the proper tone with markers and shade with colored pencil. The faces are drawn the same way, with the features outlined in colored ink. After all that is dry, I glue on the clothing, hair, and any other props that are needed, for example, the cups and steam in this piece. :)
