thanks so much~ i use card instead of paper, and because most of the things i made dont have clothing, i try to use more subdued patterns, i find the bold ones make it distracting when used as flesh/fur. ive also noticed you draw on yours where as i dont (not that thats a bad thing) you're the only other person i know that does the same thing as me and im finding it interesting to compare out work~ i also love the mononoke you did, and the commission of the bird guy~ they're both so wonderful~

Yes, I agree! I've noticed that it's best to use subtler patterns when I get commissioned for animals, otherwise the piece gets too visually overwhelming. It has been interesting to compare our galleries! :) I haven't found too many other paper artists on DA, so it's always a treat to find another person who loves the media!

I stumbled upon your gallery by accident from another artist and I have to say your work is amazing! At first glance I thought everything was drawn and then I saw they were paper crafted! So amazing and original! I've never seen the paper craft done. How do you go about the process and how big are they? They seem so tiny! I could never do it. Lol Sorry for the questions I've just never seem it done and think it is amazing. :)

Oh my goodness, thank you so much! I'm so glad you've enjoyed my papercraft work. :)
For the process, I cut out the shapes individually and then layer them onto a Bristol board base, so the final effect looks somewhat 3D. And yes, they usually are fairly small! My standard size for a full-body piece is between 6-7" tall, although for specialty pieces I've gone as small as 2" and as big as several feet.
Don't be sorry to ask questions! I'm extremely flattered that you asked! :)

That is just amazing! I have been looking more at your paper cut gallery and I see all the different kinds of paper designs. What kind of paper who you use? Just regular paper?

Well, yes, in that I don't have to order it specially or anything. I usually just keep an eye out for craft stores or art supply stores - most of those will have at least a small selection of decorative paper. And I've even found some shops that carry JUST paper, which are always a major find! Those are fairly rare, though.
